New Year 2020 Cooking Resolutions
Happy new *decade* from Seattle Cucina Cooking School!
We are always striving to learn and improve as teachers and as a company, and we would like to share with you just a few resolutions we’ve made for this year.
Utilize more sustainable foods and cooking practices
Support local farms and source most of our produce from Farmstand Local Foods and Alki Market Garden
Support sustainable fishing practices and source all seafood from our neighbors at Wild Salmon Seafood Market
Support eating meat mindfully and sourcing local meat from Better Meat Inc
Hold teacher training and field trips with farm, educator, and chef partners throughout the year!
2. Give back to our Seattle communities
We are now partnered with Solid Ground
20% of proceeds for the classes listed below go directly to Solid Ground’s Community Food Education program:
We will also continue to run free or reduced rate after school cooking classes throughout Seattle
3. Continue to improve and diversify our exciting, hands-on Cucina classes
We will put all of our creative and culinary juices into offering the best cooking classes we can!
We now offer even more Family Classes perfect for small and large groups
Two new guest chefs will be running specialty adult, family and kids classes:
